New around here?

If you're not sure what a SteamID is or what a VAC ban means, there are dedicated guides for exactly that:

  • How to find someone's SteamID64
  • SteamID vs SteamID3 vs SteamID64
  • What is a VAC ban in Rust
  • VAC ban vs game ban vs community ban

What this tab does

Search any SteamID64, steamID2/3, vanity name, or profile URL (paste it as-is) and get everything public about that account: bans, account age, friends, groups and more.

No search limit, on any tier.

Risk signals

A banner up top appears when there's something worth noting: Steam bans (VAC or game bans), confirmed Rust server bans, or a very new account. No banner doesn't guarantee anything -it just means nothing unusual was detected.

High risk, per the community

Before you search anything, this tab shows the latest SteamIDs OTHER app users have found with 50%+ cheater risk -plus how many have been flagged in total. Tapping one searches it directly.

This isn't a real ban list (no public feed of that exists, not on BattleMetrics nor on Steam): it's just what the app's own community keeps finding as it searches, nothing more.

Previous names

Tracker+

That account's Steam name history (the same "also played as" dropdown on the profile).

Community tags

Trusted, Offliner or Cheater: flag what you know about that account for other app users to see -it shows how many times each tag has been set, never who set it.

Friends and groups

Tracker+
  • Friends: their public Steam friends list, with country and ban status.
  • Removed friends: compared to the last time this profile was checked, who has disappeared from their friends list.
  • Groups: the public Steam groups they belong to.

Cross-server tracking

Tracker+

From the Tracker plan up, you can also see which other Rust servers that SteamID has connected to -useful for telling a server-hopper from a regular on just one.

In-game stats

Tracker+

Kills, deaths, K/D ratio, headshots and resources harvested (wood, stone, metal, sulfur), plus how many Steam achievements they've unlocked -these are real stats from their Rust games, not BattleMetrics.

These are the lifetime total for the whole account, across every server they've ever played on -Steam doesn't break this down by wipe or by a specific server.

Only shows up if that account has "Game details" set to public on their Steam profile (a separate privacy setting from the rest); if it's private, this section comes back empty just like the other data that depends on that same setting.

Inventory value calculator

Overwatch

Estimates the dollar value of that account's Rust items (and other games with a Steam market).

Hiding your own profile

If you don't want anyone else on the app to be able to search your SteamID, you can turn on profile opt-out from /pricing -it's a subscription separate from your regular plan.

Put this into practice

Rust Player Tracker follows players live, flags name changes, and gives you a cheater-risk score before you trust anyone -free to start, no card required.
