Discord alerts
What it does
Posts a message to your Discord channel every time a player you track connects or disconnects -even with the site closed, your phone locked or your PC off. We check every minute (every 30 seconds on Overwatch); if the player hadn't been on for days, the alert can take up to 5 minutes.
Each message has the player's name, the server and a link to their BattleMetrics profile. They're always in English, since the channel may be shared by people who speak different languages.
How to turn it on
- In Discord, open the settings of the channel you want alerts in: Edit channel β Integrations β Webhooks β New webhook β Copy URL. You need permission to manage webhooks on that server.
- On the site, paste the URL under Discord alerts (sidebar) and hit Save and test.
- We send a test message right away. If it doesn't arrive, nothing is saved: check the webhook exists and was copied correctly.
What you need
An account (free -Scout works). Not available as a guest: your list only lives in your browser, so there'd be no one to alert.
Muting or removing it
- One player: turn off their alerts with their bell and they won't reach Discord either.
- Everything: hit Remove under Discord alerts, or delete the webhook from Discord.
